Is Artificial Intelligence the last thing humans ever make?

AI has been a hot topic for many months now, and has taken the world by storm. Its caused a lot of controversy in academics, and professional life. But how much of a threat is it really? Well, to find out, Tom takes a deep dive into the history of AI, what it means for the world today, and what it means for our future as a species. Is it a threat? Is it a gateway to making our world a better place?

Reaching the edges of the universe at the speed of light!

Lets think about this. How big is space really? Well, compared to use here on Earth, its pretty big. But how big is it exactly? And how long would it take us to get there? Well, Tom sets out to find the answer once and for all.

Nuclear Energy: Death and Disaster? Or Futuristic Fuel?

Nuclear Energy is a indescribably complicated topic. It involves such amazing sciences and technology that it can be hard to understand. Or so you thought. Nuclear power is actually simple to get once you break it down to its fundamental basics. But that doesn't change the fact that the word nuclear has such a negative connotation. Why? Well, looking back at disasters in history, its not hard to see why. But does that mean we shouldn't use it? Tom takes a look into Nuclear Power, and tries to explain it as best as he can.

Just how powerful are modern computers today?

Tom embarks on a journey to understand just how far computers have come in the last few decades. Examining one of the most powerful super computers from the 80's, and how it stacks up today with modern smartphones. How powerful is that little gadget in your pocket? How powerful are the computers used in everyday appliances? Tom answers these questions and more, by putting it into context with a familiar classic game.
